After our ASL-Telephone game and discussing the Club's new media (TRACS & the new site), we collected info from members regarding their interest in the A.W.A.R.E. Therapeutic Riding Center volunteer opportunity and the upcoming Texas School for the Deaf Homecoming (TSD-HC) event.
Next we spent some time deciding on the new t-shirt designs. The basic setup of it will include the slogan "Don't use your voice, tell me with your hands!" plus some combination of bobcat paws, "ASL Club," and "Texas State University". Sadie will contact the t-shirt company graphics designer and get a few mock-ups of the shirts and pricing info to show everyone.
Lastly, the officers collected some more outstanding club dues and dismissed the main portion of the meeting so we could move on to the officer and committee assignments. The various roles were explained and the officer and committee chair positions were agreed upon and filled.
